Timely Warning: Man Gropes, Attempts to Kiss Student

UPDATE — RESOLUTION NOTICE: The suspect in the incident described below has been identified and in no longer a threat to the campus community. (Updated February 8, 2017.)

A female student reported that a man attempted to kiss her and then grabbed her breast while she was on the phone on the piazza level above the Student Activities Center late Monday morning.

The student described the suspect as a male in his late 30s, possibly 40s, of average height and possibly on the heavy side. He was wearing blue jeans and had brown, balding hair. Notably, the suspect was wearing a black jacket with red lining.

The student said she pushed the suspect away. She reported that he apologized and walked away with a limp.

Officers from Campus Safety and the Cypress Police Department conducted a search and were unable to locate anyone matching the description.

Campus Safety is continuing their investigation. Anyone with information about the incident or about the suspect should contact Campus Safety at (714) 484-7387. Imminent threats should be reported to 911.

Students and employees are reminded to report incidents or suspicious behavior to Campus Safety and/or Cypress Police immediately.
